Event Stewards.

Your role

​In your role as an event safety steward you will be expected to,
  • Provide and promote the highest level of customer care and service.
  • Ensure all customers are safe and that management are contacted if made if an issue is identified.
  • Familiarise yourself with the layout of a site/venue and the available facilities including first aid, welfare facilities in order to deliver and assist the public with relevant information.
  • Understand their role and duties including Health and Safety responsibilities in particular to those with special needs and children
  • Attend pre-event briefings to ascertain the event details
  • Carry out pre-event checks
  • Monitor for signs of overcrowding
  • Report any disturbances or incidents
  • Report any medical incident by raising the alarm and providing the necessary and appropriate help as required

Requirements

  • Have a positive attitude towards working in sometimes challenging atmospheres.

  • Display initiative and remain calm under pressure 
  • Be willing to work long shifts, sometimes 12 hour days whilst remaining professional.
  • You should be polite, courteous and helpful to all customers.​

Pay

£8.36- £10.00 ph (Dependant on role and event)

What events can I work?

Alliance Events manage a portfolio of concerts, festivals, sports, venues and on campus events both locally (Loughborough) and nationally (London and across the rest of the UK).  If you have been successful with your application, you will be able to access our online summer festival and events calendar from which you will be able to book onto events. (please note our local (Loughborough) opportunities use our shift allocation system, this is separate to our summer events calendar and you will need to request access to it, you can do this by emailing admin@allianceevents.org once you have signed up and completed your profile).

ou may from time to time also receive an email asking if you are available to work or be contacted by one of our staff members who will inform you of up and coming events and ask if you would like to work. Alliance Events is aimed towards students and all other individuals looking for causal work , your existing commitments and availability will of course be taken into consideration, you have complete control over the events you work and when.

​​​If you are interested in becoming a member of the team, you will need to complete the application process by clicking 'join our team' below. This will take you to our dedicated jobs portals where you can register and fill in the application form. 

Successful applicants will receive an email prompting them to complete their personal details and upload documents. Once complete you will then be able to view and apply for events by clicking the 'my events' tab (once the summer calendar is live). You will also be given access to our online team training sessions and we will provide a detailed briefing for each event you work so you feel confident undertaking your role.

Please be aware you must bring your passport with you to each event you work. (if you don't have a passport you need to bring proof of your right to work and another form of photographic Identification, such as a driving license).
